Not every single dog or trainer thrives in a group training environment, some people want their training to be individually tailored, and some behavioural and training issues are better addressed in one-on-one sessions. 

For dogs and trainers best suited to individualised training, we’ll work closely with you to understand and resolve these issues using behaviour modification and management techniques that are kind, reward based, positive reinforcement training methods. 

Our one-on-one sessions are scheduled by appointment and take place in your home or a mutually agreed place. The initial assessment lasts about 90 minutes, and follow-up sessions are recommended to guide you through the process. These follow-ups can be booked individually or as a bundle. 

During the initial assessment, we’ll discuss your dog’s history, evaluate their temperament, and work to identify the motivation behind their behaviour. Our goal is to provide you with a clear, effective treatment program tailored to you and your dog. 

**Setting Realistic Expectations** Dog training is not a quick fix, dogs don't learn in a linear fashion, and treating behavioural issues isn’t as instant as what you might see on social media. It takes time to understand the root causes and to develop a suitable training program. Success requires patience and consistency, with the best results achieved by focusing on both long-term goals and immediate management. 

**After the Consultation** You will receive a full report and summary of the consultation to ensure you start on the right path. One-on-one consultations can vary greatly depending on the issues at hand. The initial consultation allows us to assess your dog, discuss the problem in detail, and review how you’re currently managing your dog’s behaviour. We’ll then create a training protocol that suits your needs. 

Follow-up appointments are often necessary to ensure ongoing progress. If appropriate, we also offer a weekly group session where you can practise around people and other dogs in a safe environment, building your confidence alongside your dog’s.
